Frank Height

1921 – 2013

Frank Height was Professor Emeritus in Industrial Design at the Royal College of Art.

He was a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Chartered Society of Designers and the Royal Society of Arts.

He won three Design Council awards; the Silver Medal XII Triennale, Milan; international design awards in Paris, Hanover and New York; the Institute of Packaging Award; and the Sir Misha Black Medal for services to design education.

Professor Height’s professional work includes the design of: furniture; plastics; domestic products; medical equipment; office equipment and business machines; and interiors and exhibitions.
